Learning Under Lockdown. Voices of South Africa’s Children.
Way back in May Professor Jonathan Jansen invited learners from any school in South Africa to write about their experiences of learning under lockdown.
Over 620 stories were submitted, 100 of them were chosen to be published and 3 of these published stories belong to Russell High learners. WOW! Well done to Precious Makoba (Grade 9),
Luyanda Noë (Grade 10) and Casandra Adeosun (Grade 11). You are now officially published authors.
The published collection has two main objectives: To express in the voices of students what learning was like under the pandemic lockdown and to share positive lessons from learning under lockdown with other students who might be struggling with their academic work.
The book “Learning Under Lockdown” can be found at CNA. All proceeds earned from sales will go towards feeding schemes in nominated poor South African schools.
